Zodiac Sign (Rashi)
The zodiac signs are twelve 30-degree sections of the sky; in Vedic astrology they are called rashis.
What they are
The band of sky the planets travel through is divided into twelve equal signs, Aries to Pisces. Each has an element (fire, earth, air, water), a quality and a ruling planet.
In AstroFinex
Signs are always sidereal, Lahiri ayanamsa. A planet's sign decides its dignity and the tone it brings to a reading.
