Dignity (Exaltation and Debilitation)
Dignity describes how comfortable a planet is in a sign: strong in its own or exaltation sign, weak in its debilitation sign.
What it is
Each planet has signs where it works well and signs where it struggles. It is strongest in its sign of exaltation (for example Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Libra), comfortable in the signs it rules, and weakest in its sign of debilitation, the sign opposite its exaltation.
How the tradition reads it
A dignified planet delivers its themes cleanly; a debilitated one delivers them with difficulty. The same transit reads differently depending on the dignity of the planets involved.
In AstroFinex
Dignity is one of the factors the engine uses to decide how much weight each planet gets in the stance.
