Sector rulership links each market sector to the planets that traditionally govern it.
The classical links
Financial astrology assigns sectors to planets by their karaka meanings. Some common links: Jupiter with banking and finance; Venus with consumer goods, fashion and entertainment; Mercury with technology, media and telecoms; Saturn with mining, infrastructure and heavy industry; Mars with energy, defence and steel; the Sun with gold and state-linked companies; the Moon with silver, food and retail.

The sector radar reads each sector through its ruling planets. When those planets are strong and well aspected, the tradition reads the sector as supported; when they are weak or afflicted, as pressured. The outer planets have no rulership in the Vedic karaka system, so they are left out of the sector radar.
