Eclipse

An eclipse is a New or Full Moon that falls close to the lunar nodes, so the Sun, Moon and Earth line up exactly.

What it is

A solar eclipse happens at a New Moon when the Moon covers the Sun; a lunar eclipse happens at a Full Moon when Earth's shadow falls on the Moon. They occur in seasons about six months apart, when the New or Full Moon falls near Rahu and Ketu, the points where the Moon's path crosses the Sun's.

How the tradition reads it

Eclipses are among the strongest events in mundane astrology, the astrology of nations and collective life. They are read as turning points whose effects unfold over months rather than days, often bringing sudden changes to the themes of the sign they fall in.

In AstroFinex

Eclipses are listed in the sky calendar and carry extra weight in the readings for the days and weeks around them.
